“Let no man imagine that he has no influence. Whoever he may be, and wherever he may be placed, the man who thinks becomes a light and a power.”
Henry George (1879)

David Brooks became a student of Georgism in 1956, and has since been teacher, propagandist and, in latter years, the editor of Guardian, an Australian newsheet wholly produced wherever he happened to live. His extensive knowledge of local government comes from experienced gained as a Councillor and Alderman in Tea Tree Gully S.A. and a Councillor in Hervey Bay Qld. He agrees that the world is round and believes that a few other people should recognise this!

The book Progress and Poverty, 1953 abridged edition, will be the course textbook. The book can be purchased from the Prosper Office for $10, by post or on the first evening and is a requirement for the course.
