The Panama papers controversy highlights the need for an immobile tax base and one that does not rely upon government intrusion into our private lives. Land holds the key to ending bad taxes, rebalancing the economy and reducing inequality.

How do we make this necessary shift without unnecessary pain?

Dr. Terry Dwyer is a legal, tax and economic consultant who teaches at the Crawford School of Economics and Government at ANU. A former advisor to the Department of Prime Minister and Cabinet, Terry completed his PhD at Harvard University on aspects of Georgist economics.
